Mainstream media is funded by people with agendas and biases.
So, we should always remember that.
But as mentioned before, it is case by case.
They could be telling the truth, they could be telling lies, they could be telling lies mixed with truths (most likely).
It’s our responsibility as conscious consumers to be careful with what we consume, assess things with a critical mind, and never forget to read between the lines.
One good practice is to cross-reference and see the similarities and differences between different sources (funded by different people in different countries — or independent journalists) that cover the same topic. That way you can get a fuller picture of things and not only see a one-sided perspective.
No, it's not. Because the so-called "mainstream media" are actually people who learned their job as writers, correspondents, producers etc. Not paranoid basement dwellers who graduated from YouTube university and are stuck in the 4chan world.
The mainstream media said that there is no invasion on our Southern border. lol
Now they had to stop lying about it.
You're the one calling an influx of refugees an invasion. I'm just pointing out what a real invasion looks like. By the way, Biden is working on reducing the numbers by negotiating a deal to get democracy back into Venezuela.
"The Biden administration and the Venezuelan government of President Nicolás Maduro have agreed to a deal in which the United States would ease sanctions on Venezuela’s oil industry and the authoritarian state would allow a competitive, internationally monitored presidential election next year"
www.washingtonpost.com/.../
"Hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans have arrived at the United States border in the last two years, part of a historic wave of migrants headed north amid growing global crises.". Improve the situation in Venezuela, reduce the number of people coming to the US. And that's without turning them back at the border to suffer in Mexico instead.

Hey, stupid... I'm talking about the invasion of the US's Southern border. Your moronic buddy is the one deflecting.

Only Fox News, OANN, Newsmax, etc.; Fox News had to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars for lying to their viewers, in just one case.
The rest of American news media will never talk about how bad monopolies and massive corporations are because they're owned by massive corporations, but that's about it.
I clicked no because I don´t think it´s the opposite that is true BUT I would agree that they are trying to control the public opinion and leave something out or try to suppress certain opinions. I just wouldn´t agree that it´s the opposite.
That's usually correct. It's often lies by omission or misrepresentations rather than complete propaganda, but there's plenty of that too.
obviously. anything besides dry news isn't news and the opposite is probably more beneficial.
Not necessarily, it just makes them look more untrustworthy.
They usually never tell the truth and want to create their own narrative. Media is powerful enough to convince millions of people with lies
It's case by case
