Misogyny is usually a big source, but the anger from their specific misogyny revolves around how a lot of men value themselves by their sexual conquests (or at least have been told to do so). It’s the idea that marriage is a required milestone of life, and for many generations this was the case because women couldn’t survive without men. At first it was because they couldn’t vote, then it was because nobody would hire them, and then it was because banks wouldn’t give a woman an account exclusively in her name. Up until the 1970’s it wasn’t a nationwide thing in the US that a woman could survive alone, she needed the help of a man — presumably a father or husband — to survive. Now we’re in a place where men and women are on legal, occupational, and fiscally even grounds and women are realizing that they don’t want to get married to a man that isn’t going to make their life better, and men have become used to the idea that women will just want them for being men and so that’s what these men taught this generation of men that have now become incels. They expect that by listening to these old standards that women should want to marry them just for being relatively polite but when they realize that’s not enough instead of addressing the problems within themselves that lead them down this rabbit hole, they seek outward sources of problems to blame, that women’s standard are too high when them being polite isn’t good enough, that women are shallow and only date rich men — a practice in past generations for a woman to have security in her life that is now no longer necessary, that it’s society’s fault for giving women the equal ground upon which they stand. They don’t realize they haven’t learned how to be a good person, just polite enough not to anger people in public. It’s a lot of things going on at once tbh.

Incels harbor a lot of resentment and envy for women. They hate how easy it is for women to secure sex and validation. And they hate that women’s standards are changing as they become more independent and need them less. Before, they banked on the idea that women needed them for survival. They love it because it helps them stick around, provided that he earns enough of an income and projects himself as her bodyguard away from physical threats. Now, women are more capable and independent and many men are lost as to what their value is to women. They hate that now it’s easy to get sex on tinder from women they wouldn’t want to marry, but the women they do want to marry now require a whole boatload of skills women never required before: more help with cooking and cleaning and child care, emotional intelligence and regulation, good communication and listening skills, empathy, security in himself to handle her getting massive attention from men online, the ability to deal with the fact that she enjoys a career and doesn’t need to be stuck up his ass all the time, and more. Notice how incels complain about these areas the most. They’re basically mad that they can no longer afford the entitlement. They can’t get what they want for basically no inner effort anymore. Their paychecks are no longer enough to please women and they’re finding out that in order to become a quality man, it takes many years of uncomfortable work on themselves.

Money.

Billionaires know no one is going to vote for giving more tax cuts to Billionaires. So they come up with other reasons to vote conservative. The incel thing is one of those reasons propped up with lots and lots of money. The language draws sexually frustrated men in and glues them to their screen for more, which pretty much guarantees they remain single. But if ever that money runs out the narrative would stop and the incels would go outside, promptly ceasing to be incels.

Feminism is the main thing to blame here. Things were much better when men choose their partner. Think about it, incel rebellion is only a problem in the Western world where feminism is rife.
