No. Adding more weapons to that disaster would just have made it a bigger mess. In a one on one scenario you can make an argument for a gun as self defense. Its not a very good argument admittedly but at least its arguable. This was not that, in a situation where there is an organized attack on your community then your guns will not make a single lick of difference. We are talking about a whole other level of violence and organization than your normal home invasion scenario.
