Yes because personally I don't depend my life or my families lives on police, they will come when the mess is done, I can simply shoot the person to defend myself and loved ones and it will happen at the time it has too, I don't understand how some people rather make a phone call when someone is breaking in or shooting people randomly, I believe people that are against the 2nd amendment have never seen danger in their lives, I bet you if you hand them a gun during a live situation where they are in danger, they will pull the trigger, a good example would be a woman with a gun and the element of surprise would outpower a rapist easily, maybe even more than one
Yes, people have the right to protect themselves. The country is turning into the wild west and it will pay off if you can fight back.

@midnightmoon05
Do you agree, people should have this right? Around here... people think I'd be sasquatch, might shoot me, because I have bear looking arms. We may have to take this "right" away, for safety purposes...
I believe it should be a fundamental responsibility you grow into. By logical rights of the law of the constitution a six year can handle a revolver and as individuals we can all recognize that's batshit insanity.
All of these amendments and constitutions are intentionally vague so the government of the people by the people at anytime can be redefine for modern interpretation. To self governor today and build a better future.
The constitution was never met to be holy scripture with the Supreme Court being holy priest to hold onto the past. The Supreme Court is to be the foundation of a better future.
I'm sexist, I think it's ok for men to have bear arms, but women should not do that. It's just wrong.
If women want bear arms they should cover them up.
Sorry to trigger, but I'm a sexist in some matters and that's that. Nothing racist here though, I don't think skin color should be reflective here. There are "albino" bear arms and they are just as lovely as dark colored bear arms, even though that is more natural for some reason.
What the heck is that gun doing in the picture... that's offensive and scary... Peace!! Put a flower in the end of that barrel.
I don't really think about it in such terms like rights. What I think is that if we can't control the behavior of people with guns, we're fucked, because 3D printable guns are already here, devastating bomb recipes made from home ingredients are accessible already for people who know where they look (and I suspect an average 13 year old can figure this out), etc.
And people have cars. What's to stop me from driving over a kindergarten playground and just mow down 30 kids if I have a bad day and I'm so fucked up? You don't need a gun to create a horror scene. Should we ban or heavily regulate who can drive cars?
So I think we just have to face the fact that people have all sorts of tools and will have more and more in the future that let them kill a whole bunch of people if they want. And so I think we have to teach them not to want to do that.
The future I think we're approaching is that I have to be comfortable with you and you have to be comfortable with me even if we both have bombs in our basements that is capable of killing everyone in a 1 kilometer radius. We just have to trust each other that we won't have such bad days, and hopefully help each other on such bad days that we don't detonate our bombs.
But I went for "yes" anyway. Might as well.
Yes, even this one for AntiFA riot control. "Painless"

That's a tough one.
Do I believe Americans are responsible and mature enough to own a firearm?
No.
Do I believe in individual liberty and absolutely distrust the government and it's myriad institutions? Yes.
Same applies to other populations.
No. We don't have that right in Europe and arms are reserved for the armed forces. Where would you draw the line? A pea shooter? Bow and arrow? Machine gun? Leopard 2 tank? Nuclear missile?
Shootings are no worse in Europe than in US, I am sure.
I think people should be allowed to carry a gun anywhere they want. The ones that have felonies that can't carry them, I understand why they shouldn't.
I think it's stupid with all the gun laws they have. If someone wants to kill someone else, they don't need a gun. There's plenty of other ways! The government likes their control! Boo!
No. Not everyone should have a gun because they can misuse it. Some people have temper issues and can use it in the heat of the moment while some people might shoot someone out of being paranoid. I would never own one considering how I've had series of accidents/bad lucks. So, I know that gun will end up hurting me rather than defending me instead...
No. I dont accept the " the attacker might take it from me" bullshit
Keep it on your waist or thigh.
And should you need it, you can pull it out fast and shoot the attacker.
Full mag dump.
I know how to handle weapons, so you dont get to tell me that someone might grab it from you.
Shoot the fucker without mercy
Sure, but with a firearms license which will need to be renewed, gun safety course, background checks, proper storage and routine random police checks to make sure the gun is being stored safely. Any failure to comply means firearms being revoked and licence being revoked.
Pretty much how it is here.
No. Even for America, it only made sense when there were other great powers who could threaten them, like the British Empire or France. Do these people really believe that if the country was invaded the government wouldn't hand out guns and ammunition like crazy?
@grega239 Lies. What you're describing is sedition or treason.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militia_(United_States)
"The new Constitution empowered Congress to "organize, arm, and discipline" this national military force, leaving significant control in the hands of each state government."
"constitutional militia, [...] can be called forth only "to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions.""
Yes.
Because i want to be able to wage war against a tyranical government
Because i want to be able to defend myself and my future family against any and all potential threats
Because im a human and i demand the ability to secure my well being against those who would harm me.
I refuse to be a victim and i have no reservations about killing anyone stupid enough to ciolate my peace
I seriously wonder where people pick up this nonsense? How would a bunch of obese rednecks in a pickup truck fight against a government? If a „tyrannical government“ (whatever that is) comes after you, all you could achieve would be some Waco type siege. And what that is you can read up on Wikipedia.
Im gonna side with the dumbasses here. Everyone should have a gun. Even the Forrest Gump Type / The Barney Fife Type. Why? Because they will shoot themselves. They are stupid out of the gate. So when they shoot themselves, problem solved. They did it on their own.
No, I do not. The Second Amendment is an absurdity and an obscenity. However, I do believe people have the right to not die simply because they were refused medical treatment, and simply because they couldn't pay for it.
I believe in fight with your fist to settle things and live to fight another day, but that doesn’t work that way when somebody’s breaking into your house at 3 o’clock in the morning what do you believe?
Having the ''right to bear (fire-) arms'' and at the same time insisting on a speed limit on roads... makes little sense to me.
Go ALL the way, or stop babbling about trivialities.
Absolutely without hesitation and when I refer to arms I mean everything from a bolt action rifle to a battleship.
Maybe we should reconsider how we utilize our military in the world. Technically corporations can pay for their own small navies to escort their products across oceans like they use to so that the American tax payers don't have to foot the bill to protect their trade routes from Somali pirates. On the bright side for them, they will have a giant floating billboard to sail around the world with to spread brand awareness.
I Believe People Should Be Responsible When Bearing Arms!
Absolutely and im glad that those of us with a brain voted the same. I own guns to protect my self... Especially from violent leftist terrorists.
100% yes. These devils out here are armed and will use it against you or your family so in case of a emergency you should have a gun to defend yourself.
The right to self-defense is inherent, and pre-existed 2A, which is why it is stated as it is.
If they’d bear arms, there would be likely less shootings. I mean, would a gunman shoot when everyone else has a gun?
Pistol, sure.
A semi automatic rifle, that's designed to shoot multiple rounds and kill many, no
Americans can blow each other's brains out if they wish, but that is not wanted in most other countries.
Yes. We need to make self defense as easy as possible against all threats foreign and domestic.
We got broken into recently. My husband dealt with it.
I believe people have a right to have two arms and two legs!
Lmao bear arms would be scary🤣
Yup. An armed society is a polite society.
Yes definitely and I do
Absolutely
