Why are people so ridiculous?

Studies show girls are attracted mostly to men older than them including 10 years plus. This attraction develops in teens and doesn't start in adulthood as some people think. Yet there are people throwing tantrums because they don't like young girls being attracted to much older men. I think it's ridiculous.

In some cases, girls admire the father figures in their lives and implant in their heads that they'll hopefully find a responsible man (like those father figures) someday when they're older.

A girl in her late teens or young 20s won't find father figure qualities in the boys her age.

As she gets older, she sets her goals to leave behind immature men who get upset at her while claiming that she should stick to men her own age.

In most cases, many people (males & females) simply look at such pairing with large age gaps to be unattractive or, worse, disgusting.

Meanwhile, I've always done the opposite ever since my teens wherein I've never dated a man or been seriously involved with man older than me or even in the same age as me.

It's mainly a thing in the West.. And it's mainly women who made it weird mainly because a lot of them are pretty strict when it comes to age.. They associate it with pedophilia and sorta vilified it.. People seem to think we need to date people exactly or almost exactly our age or it gets weird if you don't..
