Would the climate change enthusiasts agree that cruise ships, private jets, and non-essential commercial flights be banned?

What I mean by "non-essential" commercial flights, I mean like going on vacations, or getting Americans out of Afghanistan. But we would still need commercial flights to fly illegal aliens to their destination of choice.

Yeah, for sure.

Shut down cruises and private jets. Force rich people and corpos to fly commercial airlines with the rest of humanity. It would absolutely cut down on emissions while still allowing global commerce and travel to continue.

Eliminate private yachts and cruises and you eliminate excess pollution from not only their regular use but their manufacture and maintenance. Of course shipping would need to be preserved for global commerce, but we could eliminate polluting the ocean for recreation. If rich people want a boat, they can get a sailboat and learn to sail like proper rich people.

I also think we need to eliminate the need to extort communities in Africa for lithium and find truly sustainable power alternatives for electronics and EVs. There's upcoming young engineers working on new innovative battery structures that accomplish just this - keeping them from falling prey to corpos or having their research suppressed is necessary.

Rich people can certainly enjoy their lives without such frivolous things as cruises, yachts, private jets, and supercars.

If they can't, then that sounds like they need a hobby or therapy. There's so many more impactful and real experiences they could have with that money.

We'd be doing them - and ourselves - quite the favour.
