All activities should require DNA proof

It depends on the competition. This is the one activity where I think restrictions by sex are appropriate. Otherwise I don't care. People can use whichever restroom they prefer, and I will address them using their chosen name and pronouns.

I am morally against it but most of the people who are affected by this are voting for it so I am taking the position of "never interrupt your opponent when they are making a mistake."

Saving them from this will only lead to no one learning and making better decisions next time.

Depends on when they transitioned. Trans people who used hormone blockers and never went through male puberty have no physical advantage in sports.

There are laws tied to sports and athletic commissions. Politicians dictate laws. Your comment doesn't make sense. For example, MMA was illegal in New York until 2016. Politicians are in charge of sports.

Fair enough. I'm just pointing out that with the question taken out of politics we would all vote with our feet by simply not attending sports that "get too woke" or whatever, with zero consequence.

The Supreme Court's decision in NCAA v. Alston (2021) is another example. Actually, the laws of the state can dictate what is and isn't allowed for a sport. MMA is regulated and sanctioned by respective state or province government entities known as commissions. You just don't know what you are talking about.

@jahaims "dictate" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence, as the NCAA is largely affiliated with public schools which of course fall under the jurisdiction of politics, because they are public schools. And anyway, that ruling had nothing to do with the sport but on how those who play could be paid for promotional stuff.

I like how you conveniently ignored my other points and examples that literally disproved what you said. "That ruling had nothing to do with the sport" People were literally removed from sports prior to this law that was made by politicians because the athlete was making money. To say an athlete being removed from a sport doesn't affect the sport is an example of you being in denial. I know your mom and dad never taught you this, but it is okay to be wrong. If you aren't ignorant, then being wrong is a good thing. That just means you learned something. Lose the ego, it is an ugly look.

If anything it's the right that would have passed this sort of thing into law, as they wouldn't have wanted to provide scholarships for anyone with an alternative source of income. But now that it's settled it no longer can be an issue, and anyway it is altogether not a gender issue. Plus you're missing the larger point that this is the NCAA. Not pro level and certianly not the Olympics.
