The dream still exists, but you can’t find it as easily as you could in the 1950’s post-war america, the country that was benefitting the most while Europe was rebuilding alongside other nations only to be overshadowed by Japanese and Chinese factory production once they were finished getting back on their feet. Prosperity is not easy, certainly not during a time where the gap between upper and lower class is so massive, but everyone wants to succeed, they just forget that the socialist changes made in the Great Depression are the biggest reason baby boomers got to grow up in such a good life when their parents benefitted from it the most.

We started to live the American dream when my parents bought the first property in the 90s. Before that, we were living in property. Only dads income supporting 6.

We have opportunities that people in other countries don’t.
it’s not hard to obtain the American dream…but most are not being realistic.

Absolutely. You have to work for it though…and work hard. And you can’t be deterred by failure / bumps in the road / negative feedback from others.

Just a reminder, life isn’t fair…and we all have our own demons/baggage to deal with…and some have a head start. Don’t worry about others…it’s usually a competition against yourself.

Also, do some sole searching…what is the definition of success for you?

Final though…. if you have the opportunity, do some global travel. If not, visit the library and study about other countries…. I think you’ll be enlightened as to how good we have it here in the US.

America is in a slump for sure. For the last 3 years we have been subjected to high inflation, skyrocketing prices, high interest rates, high crime, record illegal immigrants, multiple overseas conflicts and an erosion of our rights. I still believe that under the right leadership the country can be put on the right track again and our best days are ahead.

I'm not an American citizen but i do know what the American dream is...
Based on the things that i see, read and also knowing a lot of people from the U. S i believe that the American dream these days is a luxury that only rich people can have, a lot of people aren't able to achieve the American dream these days, which means it's only a dream that is hard to achieve...

Yes, my now adult children listened to me through their life and now they have their American Dream. We are inundated with people smashing through our borders so they believe as well. If you really want it, its still there.
