They have a knack for living at the expense of others… mooching off friends, family, or anyone really, who's willing to open their doors or wallets.
To them “sharing is caring" only seems to apply when others are sharing with them. They’re experts at couch surfing, turning short stays into indefinite residencies. Unfortunately I’ve had to deal with a few of them who I used to call friends.
I understand times are tough. The cost of living in certain areas is ridiculous and we all need to feel as if we can reach out to those who care if we ever needed. I too have been in situations where I’ve needed a hand with a bill or two, but freeloaders elevate this to an art form. They're not just in a short term pinch, they’re deliberately making a lifestyle of avoiding responsibility.
Still, I find something truly fascinating about their sheer audacity. Makes me wonder if they simply surviving in a world gone mad, or are they just excellently creating their own universe where everyone else just plays a part?
