What happens if you have been subpoenaed to attend court and you show up but refuse to give evidence?

I just had the support person straight up lie to the police, when she claimed I said I would be willing to give evidence, when I never once ever said this at all!

I forgot to mention this is the same woman who sent me an email claiming she wants to set up a meeting between her and the police prosecutor, but she did not disclose the time the meeting would happen, so the meeting never happened and it should have. This is also the same lady who sends me messages asking me to call her, but when I do she is not available and doesn't bother to call back for days

You aren't allowed to refuse unless it would incriminate you in a crime yourself. If you refuse the judge can hold you in contempt and put in you jail until you agree to testify.

But her claiming I said I would testify was a complete an utter lie. I never once ever said I would do this. We were talking about having the charges dropped, than she says she will call me back and when she did, she informs me she told police I said i would give evidence wtf. It's ridiculous I get in trouble for a lie she told
