Should we declare war on snails?

They cause over 200,000 human deaths annually. Compare that to the Great White's and Tiger sharks whom killed a few swimmers last month, it's peanuts statistically. I'm sure the one seems more tragic than the other, but wow... these snails are doing some damage. Primarily in Asia. So declare global war?

The snails have a parasite in them. If we kill the parasite, the snails themselves become harmless.
