For low income work, we socialize the workers (oh know, horrible word!) and loan them out to corporations.
We give low income workers a universal income and then CHARGE the corporations a competitive amount for their work.

Thats not slavery. These are people with rights, dignity and freedom to pursuit happiness. Free to do what they want when they want all that jazz.

So there is a thing called "guarantee employment" that is payed by the federal government but it's for local non profits doing community service work. Culling invasive species of plants or weeds or just litter pick up. kinda like chain gang prisoner slavery but pay living wages to average people.

It could be any nonprofit charity. Upto even free daycare for children but thats deep trust in local communities. So i see extreme value and investment to communities but it needs to grow organically with any community.

Medicaid is made available to anyone who is low income. It is available for people who ae unemployed, on disability, on welfare or are elderly. Presumably it is applied fairly to all these segments.
What we are looking at here is the government subsidizing big companies at the expense of small businesses. It will end up being a way for politicians to get money from big donors in exchange for voting for this.

Slavery never ended. All we did was shift the responsibility for keeping the slave alive onto the slave. Now instead of feeding, clothing and housing them, we give them just enough money to keep themselves alive so they can work for us. I think slavery had reached a peak of inhumanity by 1865 in the US, but there were times slaves could buy themselves out, their children weren't slaves, and indentured servitude wasn't that different. It all needed to go.

UPS drivers get paid very well but they also run their asses off all day, they get huge pensions when retired but they deal with a lot at their job from the supervisors and managers

I only have a high school diploma but I make $100,000 a year as a truck driver and UPS drivers are making more so I guess we are the exceptions. My kids all have college degrees but only one of them is making more than me. But it’s true the more education the more you’ll get paid working for the right company
