I think self value is about knowing your TRUE worth... not to think highly of yourself, but to actually know your worth

and for this, I do think balance is very much needed, and a few things need to be balanced as much as possible

confidence of course is one thing, but one also needs to be humble... and this confidence can come with experience, but you also need to be understanding and open to the experiences of others... because these can be good and bad, and we all learn (or won't learn) from our experiences so part of the value you have and see in yourself is closely related to how others perceive you first and value you then...

another very important thing about the value of a person, is the mindset... to see yourself as valuable and worthy and feeling entitled to things from other people because of it, that's not always the best way to go about it... because you would be demanding and in a way trying to force things

most of the times people do value the people who are more genuine... and truly to themselves yes, but equally truly to others in their life

most of the value and worth that I see in myself is because of others in my life who have valued me in their life... and this first happened because of my dedication to them and also their reciprocation following right back

The more accessible our strengths (or what we perceive as them) and the more conscious we are about them, the higher our self-value...

Some people are born with it. Most have to exercise this knowledge about themselves to make it accessible.
