Fairly political although for me it's less about political science and economics and more about values.
For example, I am against minimum wage but not so much because I'm sure it will improve the economy. I find economists so divided here as to whether it will benefit or harm the economy (it seems more likely to me to harm, but I've heard arguments that suggest careful minimum wage hikes can help in the case of monopsonies). I lack the expertise to form the most educated opinion.
Yet I am against minimum wage regardless of the effect it has since I think it's unethical to tell people they are only allowed to offer their services if their the cost of their services are mandated to have a price floor. If I am desperate for a job and want to work for someone for $3/hour, that's my prerogative. It goes against our freedom as adults to choose what we want to charge for our services.
So that's the way I think about politics. It's almost entirely in terms of values and ethics.
On effects though, even the arguments in favor of minimum wage hikes only consider net employment and hypothetical economic growth. I am almost certain that even with net boosts, it will price certain groups out of the market.
For example, if I am in a hiring position and I have two applicants for a minimum wage job, and one speaks fluent English and the other is an immigrant that barely speaks English, there's no way I'm hiring the immigrant for the same price. Yet the law prevents the immigrant from charging less so he will be priced out of the job in this case.
That at least makes complete intuitive sense to me from a behavioral perspective. So I tend to think like that according to intuition in a secondary way but values first and foremost.
I like to understand what's going on how society works the important pieces and how they fit together but I don't get emotional about politics anymore. I'm not invested because things don't change much and I'd rather focus on my own life. I still vote sometimes in Switzerland because we have a really good democracy but I'm generally happy the way things are here and globally I can't change anything so I just understand but I keep out of it. I'm mostly apolitical now I'd say. With a little participation in my own country.
Politics in terms of deceiving and appease electorates is boring and easily predictable. Two parties or coalition fight for best sinecures for their members but realistically they don't anything without approval of gray eminence behind them. However politics at international level is anarchistic and not so obvious, therefore more interesting because it's the world where people who pull the strings compete with each other.
I have opinions but I don't go online to discuss them unless I am asked because I see no point in offending and alienating people who have different views. Why spend 4 hours arguing about candidates when I can spend those 4 hours listening to music or doing chores?

Well, given that I have worked in politics since the late 1980s, I'd guess I have to say "political," and so voted accordingly. However, in my personal relationships, I try not to be.
Which is not to say that I always speak bluntly regardless of other's feelings. Rather, I try to be sensitive to the feelings of others and speak accordingly. There being a difference between being "political" and being "polite."
I used to have nothing to do with politics but, back then, it didn't really matter. It was just a case of having the right person for the job or having someone that could actually DO the job! Now, and for the past decade or so, it's BECOME a big deal!!
Why does politics itself even matter? It should be: who cares if it's a dem or rep, as long as the right guy is hired to do the job and gets it done! Except for the previous term, we haven't really had that since Kennedy!! MAYBE Reagan but, I still wasn't interested in politics back then so, I'm not sure how good he was. I can only go by what the masses said and, from what I recall, like Trump, a great deal of them hated him for some reason. I remember one time, my guitarist called my singer a republican. That was back in the `80's. I never understood that joke until now but, still have no clue what's so bad about it except that dems hate reps, for some reason and make up all kinds of absurd bullshit about them but can't back any of it up! In the meantime, the reps dig up LOADS of evidence against the dems so, this makes me think the dems are the REAL crooked assholes!! And, so far, they're proving themselves to be just that!!
Generally, very political people are polarized and one sided. Quick to argue points and defend themselves of any perceived attack. The same is true for deeply orthodox religious people.
These topics tend to serve the sole purpose of protecting one’s own identity with little regard for the cohesive collaboration needed to step forward as a team, organization, or community
I am a company executive and outright prohibit political or religious debates in my team. I've seen it destroy cohesion, create division and ultimately inhibit my team from working together and achieving a goal. Having political or religious opinions is fine. Keep it at the door when you work with other people.
These days even if you’re not political you are dragged into picking a side because the politically-correct-woke-revolutionaries are very aggressive in pushing for their agenda. Unless you’re passively submissive, you probably not ganna take it laying down.
Apolitical for the most part, since people have become very divisive over it and I believe it negatively influences a lot of people's mental health. By the same token, perhaps I am in a time of my life where I can afford to be apolitical. Perhaps one day when I live out on my own or have kids that it will change.
Who knows
my mood towards politics changes in waves. I sometimes like political discussions if I get the impression that it´s actually a discussion but I don´t follow debates on social media since they seem unreasonable as many people don´t really want a discussion they only want validation and approval for their ideas.
Used to be the first, now I'm the middle. I have zero faith in American people. They're zombies, marching like the SS... just instead of going to the beat of the Third Reich, they're transfixed by the beat of Hollywood, rappers, talking heads on tv and corporate CEO'S shilling their products to vacuum away all their cash from them. ME, ME, ME! I want to be a robot, exploited for financial gain by a bunch of elitists totally removed from reality! 😃😃Me, Me!🤚🤚
I despise politics but understand if someone doesn't stand up to right wing bullies they will win everything.
Apolitical, because I've woken up to the fact that politics is nothing more than a game designed by those who rule over us to keep us divided and at each other's throats.
I work in D. C. so i distust both sides. There's not as much difference behind closed doors as there is in front of the cameras with 98% of the people out there.
Rather... I mean there's not as much difference in (R) vs (D). There's a ton of difference in behind closed doors vs in front of the cameras, but that's what I hate about the whole culture there.
Apolitical, because the vast majority of people who want to discuss politics absolutely do not have the level of understanding required to do so in a productive manner.
If I get started, I won’t stop. Everyone I got political, I got invited on international political events.
I have a period when I am just chilling. Entertaining my mind in different ways.
I used to be more moderate but the democrats are destroying this country from the inside out and I hate to see the country I grew up in become a third world hellhole.
No politics!
No news!
No social media!
No nicotine, cannabis, vapes!
I used to be pretty political in 2020, but over time I started to care less about politics.. So now I'm in the middle leaning towards apolitical..
Where does politically exhausted fall in that scale? It's not that I have no opinions, it's that I'm tired of everyone demanding to know what they are.
Back a Few Years Ago, More Political But Now? In The Middle. lolxxoo
I'm a strong independent and bipartisan. But one item I won't budge on is that I will vote for any candidate from either party except Trump.
I would like to be more centrist, but the goalposts keep moving and too many folks are going backwards these days.
Those who don't get involved in politics have no right to complain about the shitty government they help bring about.
