American 🇺🇸 because I am an American 🇺🇸. But after watching tv shows, movies, I can mimic accents pretty damn good.

I got a good story for you to describe this.

I had a dell laptop my girlfriend gave me because she decided to get a new laptop. I said it’s under warranty why don’t you want to get this one fixed? She said too much trouble besides I can’t understand the accents on tech support. I think they are from India or something. I said you want me to try? She said I’m getting this new one. I don’t want to deal with them anymore. And good luck. So I took the laptop home and it had a slew of problems. I called dell tech support and got a guy that has an accent like from India - Hello my name is isanjay, how may I be helping you today?

I mimicked his accent and said - Well isanjay, my laptop is being broken and I am needing your help in fixing my laptop. About 2 seconds later I get a guy on there that sounds like he’s from California, has no accent and speaks perfect English - Yo dude what’s the problem with your laptop?

Long story short, I sent the laptop back to them and they sent me a brand new one minus stickers on the case when you open it up. Maybe it was refurbished - I dunno but that is one day I’ll never forget. My girlfriend couldn’t believe it either. I offered the new laptop to her so she could send her new one back and get her money back but she refused and said she was happy for me and she liked her new laptop better than her previous one. 👍🙂

Just yesterday, a guy said he couldn't figure out my accent. I've traveled a lot, all over the world, for both business and pleasure, and my accent has kinda developed from all the places I've been. I often tend to speak with whatever the local accent and vocabulary is.

Interesting story. Several years ago, I stayed for several weeks at a hotel in London England while working on a project. Most days, I would talk with the same lady at the front desk, to drop off/pick up my key, say hello, getting messages etc. One day, I had to give her my passport for something and she blurted out, "You're American, I thought you were British."

Other than the old BBC side of things, there is no British accent, there are a huge (but decreasing) number of local accents, each sounding different and using different words.
