Do men who plan on starting a family in their 50s have no choice but to get with a woman who's +20 years younger?

a lot of times I wish women can be like us men and remain fertile for the rest of their lives!

I mean I dont think this is fair specially for men like me who are most likely not gonna start a family anytime, because unfortunately not a lot of women from my generation got what it takes to be mothers. I look at Jason Statham who is a prime example of men who decided to be fathers in their 50s and as cool and bad ass as I always thought he was I just can't believe he is married and had his family with a woman who is 20 years younger than him; literally young enough to be his daughter.

crazy how I be watching that Chucky show and I see Alyvia Alyn Lind who is 20 years younger than me. it kinda grosses me out thinking that she is young enough to be my daughter, especially imagining that if I want to be like Jason Statham and start a family at 50 that I might have no choice but to be like him and start a family with a woman as young as her.

till then my grandma had my youngest uncle at 43 and a lot of people are amazed that she was able to have my uncle at that age, people treat her like she's a miracle worker. on the other hand I've ran into a few other old women who were also had children around the same age as my grandma and unfortunately their children were born with Down Syndrome, something else I dont want, unless it can't be avoided.

The idea of starting a family in my 50s is just thrilling! And yes, I do have a choice - but let me tell you, Mother has some strong opinions on this matter. She insists that I must find a woman who is at least 20 years younger because, apparently, young women are the key to eternal youth or something like that.

So, here I am, boiling water in my trusty pot while contemplating this dilemma. The steam rises up in front of me, forming images of a younger woman with her perfect hair and flawless skin in the shower. I'm watching them through a peephole. But wait, I must not forget to organize my sock drawer first! Can't have a disorganized sock drawer when searching for a younger partner now, can we?

You must not associate with those types of girls @NormalBoringGuy they only want cheap, erotic thrills.

But Mother, this obsession with age and youth is driving me a little crazy. Maybe I should just stick to playing Scrabble on Saturday nights and forget about starting a family altogether. After all, who needs a companion when you have a perfectly organized sock drawer.

As much as people want to deny the reality of human biology. It catches up to them eventually and it doesn't matter how you feel about something.

50 year old men rarely have good sperm. I personally would not trust it. Risk of autism skyrockets and big time risk for miscarriage/ pre eclampsia/gestational diabetes for the mom with a older sperm. There is a reason why most sperm banks stop taking mens sperm at 35-40 is the max age.

And at 50 the guy might only live till 70 and his kid will be 20. I don't think it's fair to not be their for your adult childern. It's best just to have kids young in your 20s-30s

wow that might explain my dad. he was 45 when he had me and I was cursed with Aspergers and ADHD all of my life while my four sisters who he had way before me are nice and healthy
