For example Chris Evans is dating a 25 year old actress and he's 41 is that because he wants children and knows a woman who's over 40 would struggle to give him a family? I also don't judge people it's just curiosity, I'm 24 and would date a guy up to age 37 but if he's like nearing 40 when I'm not 25 yet I guessed it'd feel pushed for kids sooner and I want a baby in my late 20s.
More or less I suppose. We're not exclusively looking for younger women but much like women typically are willing to date up in years men are willing to date down in years.
So while your limit might be -3 years 10, for a guy it'd often be the reverse. Probably more due to society than biology.
My biology teacher told us, in a totally not awkward way when we were 16, that in nature 16 is the perfect age to have children. Least risk of complications and best odds of recovering. If anything the fact most guys are not pursuing 16 year olds should be a sign that we're not ruled by biology - or that my old teacher was wrong and just a perv. He was a bit odd. Good at teaching though.
I think so and maybe not even at a conscious level; it might even explain our conscious human behavior when contraceptives are involved to some degree since I don't think our evolutionary programming accounts for such technology. There is a very real biological reality that men tend to have far longer reproductive lifespans than women even though their overall lifespans are shorter.
I know that's my reasoning. I'm 38 want a family. There's other factors though so it's not just age, but age is important to me. Anything above 32 is a nope.
To many men nowadays it subconscious, but yea it's why men tend to prefer young women.
