I seem to notice people nowadays don't seem to cuss a whole a lot like years past. Even the movies nowadays seem to have less profanity. Or maybe this is just me? What does everyone think?

I’ve seen the opposite. Especially from young women.
Truth is I need to cut back on my own profanity. I’ve been doing it more often and in front of people I shouldn’t at times (family and business partners).
Colorful language gets the point across when time right and used sparingly. But it’s a sign of low intelligence when people drop the f bomb every other sentence.
I saw a guy doing this the other day in volunteer group belong to. It just got uncomfortable and made me trust his insights less. But it also made me think how I look when I drop the f bomb at times (and I’m guilty of that).
Maybe. If they are, I think that it's because in the last century, sex and cussing became more socially acceptable, and that was not such a bad thing. Now, the pendulum is swinging the other way; they're nice to be able to do, but not necessary, so people are less enthusiastic.
in my opinion.
it's more than before I hear gurls call each other B as a term of endearment imagine... yeah and the F word and Sh*t is thrown around a whole lot it's basically a colloquial term nowadays. personally I do not like swearing at all.
@ManOnFire so even back then they used it as a term of endearment too? because wow 😭
I'm too Australian to realistically answer this 😭 we swing around the c word like it's a mantra

Pass some playgrounds and the language emanating from the mouths of some cute lasses and lads would blush a sailor.
There does appear to be less foul language / swearing, possibly as more social interaction is in coffee shops, mixed company, more inclusive as it involves family situations.
I don’t cuss and I don’t hear it much either
@ManOnFire people have a lack of vocabulary and they use a curse word for the appropriate word
I am shocked that people's mothers still get kissed with the profanity that hear coming from people these days.
Absolutely not, it consumes most of their vocabulary now.
I experience the opposite, I was never one to use profanity much, but I do hear it quite often from people my age.
Fuck no.
I don't see or hear much of a difference. I wish people would cuss less.
I think it’s the opposite.
Nope people still cuss as much as they used to but in more informal or enclosed settings
Fuck if I know.
Of course. Like sex in media, it’s becoming less puritanical. Thank fucking Christ.
I don't perceive any noticeable difference
i dont think so
Shit maybe
