Does the second amendment include illegals?

An Illinois Federal Judge just ruled that the second amendment also applies to illegals! The federal forms to purchase a firearm asks if you are a citizen, drug user or convicted of a felony.

The Second Amendment to the US Constitution is probably the vaguest of all the amendments. It reads in full...

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Questions about the amendment that have been asked, and answered, sometimes differently over the past 250 years:

1. Who are "the people". Are they only citizens? Or any person that happens to be in the US, legally or otherwise?

2. Does the Amendment imply that only members of a Militia have the right to bear arms, or does everyone have that right?

3. What does "infringed" mean? Does that mean an individual can have any type of weapon they want? Or is it limited? And does "infringed" mean "banned" or something less restrictive?

This amendment was added in response to what happened during the American Revolution, when British soldiers seized colonist's guns. Most of the guns were for hunting. Some content... today... that the amendment only applies to guns used for hunting, not for protection or entertainment (i. e.-target shooting).

To answer the question... does it apply to illegals? Some say yes, others say no.

Nope. The Supreme Court ruled in 2008 that the right to bear arms is intended for lawful purposes, such as self-defense. If you have crossed the border illegally and you have a gun, then that would be possession of a weapon during commission of a crime thus leading to harsher penalties. People that have not obtained citizenship but whom have established residency like a nonimmigrant alien can purchase and take possession of firearms. If they don't have residency but are here legally they can still purchase firearms, but they must arrange for them to be exported and can't take procession of them within our borders.

Sounds to me like this might be another way to document illegals if you think of it, I doubt they will just give them guns like just handing it to them, they will be processed and added to the American roster where they keep everyone's identities, kinda like a "if you are illegal and want a gun, come buy one and all you have to do is add yourself to the American system" lol

I applied for a conceal carry license and on the application you had to show proof of residency for 3 years. It could just be a state or county thing but residency was on there

The only reason I was able to get a conceal carry permit is because I knew the police chief in my town. I had to bring 3 forms of ID and proof of residency. This BS is going to get people killed. Too bad one of them would not be Biden.

@exitseven it took a year to get my application approved. I did it through a friend of mine who owns a gun store. They have to do a background check when you want to buy ammo and you're limited to how much you can buy
