Why are the hospital still required people to use facemask when they enter the hospital?

In my country all clinics and hospital required people to use face mask you cannot enter hospital without it is it the same in your country?

Not where I work. It’s more than likely just their policy. I work in a hospital in the states. But I will say certain departments you go into may require it. For one of the person you’re seeing or taking care of has some sort situation where it can transfer from one person to another via inhalation then yes you’d w at to wear a mask. Protective glasses would be a good idea as well. Also if you’re dealing w a community of people who are more vulnerable to getting sick like elderly. Maybe someone has a compromised immune system, etc. But too it could just be their policy.

Masking was always a psy-op. All medical offices and hospitals did it for a couple of years to give credibility to the idea that masking against the dreaded covid was sensible. That policy was dictated by The Joint Commission, which accredits and certifies more than 22,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. But they quit a good year ago or ago where I live. I'm in northern California.

Because hospitals are filled with sick people... You don't want to pass on what you have and you don't want to catch what other people have. Should have been this way forever.

No here in my state, the US is a big country so maybe some places still require it but in the state of Michigan almost no places require facemasks anymore and frankly the few that do I don't go to.

Covid is still with us and if vaccinations haven't been taken up in a particular area its possible it will still infect large numbers which puts a big strain on already struggling healthcare services. The masks are just a precaution.

It probably depends on where you are. My wife was in the hospital for two months last summer (pregnancy complications) and I was never once asked or told to wear a mask.

Coz hospitals have lot of viruses that stay inside the hospital, I forgot the actual name but there is a specific disease that you can get only from the hospital
