Of course not. Our social culture came primarily from Germany, our political culture from France, our philosophical culture from England, and a hell of a lot of the rest from Ireland. Why should these places, and the bonds that formed between us and them, be ignored?

More to the point, why should the first Amendment be ignored, just because you happen to be an immigrant?
