Modernization might not be an option for a lot of those people. Particularly out in the rural areas, people simply don't have access to education and other resources to bring them up to speed. AI will replace those people in a heartbeat.

I'd probably recommend skilled labor for a lot of those people, if they can get the training.

Again, some of the richest people in the world never bothered with college. My roommate's brother works for a company where he handles a lot of money everyday and he runs circles around people who are college educated. He learned everything himself by opening the source material and experimenting.

Like I said, I don't care. I know for a fact you don't "NEED" college for most jobs and if everybody had a college education then it would just be another layer of high school. Having a high school diploma used to be a big deal now it doesn't mean shit.

The economy does not depend whatsoever upon college graduates. Some of the biggest movers and shakers are completely devoid of college education.

Maybe the economy would be in better shape if we weren't trillions of dollars in debt and borrowing just to pay our interest. Maybe we should cut a lot of unnecessary programs and instead focus on programs actually help people such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security rather than all these pointless fucking wars.

@OddBeMe. Trade schools have much more to offer men specifically. When you call a plumbing apprenticeship "higher education", I guess it's higher than high school, but that's a stretch.

I will tell you what we are truly missing and that is MENTORSHIP. Young people don't seem to get shit for guidance so many default to "college" to buy more time before reality hits.

I have a Bachelor's and two Masters, and a shit-ton of certifications. My certifications have done more for me than my degrees ever have. Now, I believe I have a good education but that didn't pay the bills.

There are amazing opportunities for people willing to get their hands dirty. In my state the government will pay for EVERYTHING for young people who want to pursue welding, lineman work, truck driving, and a hundred more trades. All the kid has to do is apply.

If anyone was thinking of starting work today I'd be going for a Trade Plumber/Electrician/Carpenter etc, as there is a serious deficit of them in the US today, to such an extent that they can out earn may people who have degrees. that doesn't mean they are uneducated, in many cases their knowledge outstrips those who have degrees.

There is a future in manufacturing but is is less the assembly line type jobs and more about maintaining the equipment used in manufacturing. Weathertech is a car mat manufacturer. It alway was a low tech product but they got a high tech makeover that increased their productivity and enabled the creation of a better product. This process could be adapted to other items in the future
