Thoughts on the solar eclipse?

For anyone living in Canada, USA or Mexico, did y’all enjoyed the solar eclipse, excited for the next one?

I watched for a few minutes using two pairs of dark glasses, I was surprised to see just the 'partial' eclipse here in CA. Surprising to me, me don't see the moon during the daytime, and only when I could see the 'half-shadow' eclipse here was it apparent that we even had a moon in the daytime sky.

We saw it at 90% at our house this time around.

We actually took our family on a vacation to Missouri to see the previous total on August 21, 2017. Totally weird when everything goes blotto for those three minutes.

Yeah, crazy dark. I could see stars out. So weird and way cooler than I thought.

That shift from "full, but dim" sun to "equivalent of moonlight only" IS awesome. We took our family on a trip to MO to see the 2017 one. This time we sent glasses to all the kids and everyone saw the partials.

I’m on the East Coast in the US and we only got a partial eclipse. Although I was at work during the whole thing, it was pretty neat to look out the window and see it get partially dark. 😊

It was cool. I had about 85% coverage. Got on the boat and anchored out in a cove to watch it.
