That is incorrect. Not guilty does not mean innocent. Legally it only means there was insufficient evidence presented to convince the jury to convict him.

Again, if you want to use the legal analysis being found not guilty in criminal court does NOT mean you are innocent. It simply means that a jury decided that the evidence did not show that the defendant was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (or they did think there was enough evidence but decided to violate their duty as jurors and find him not guilty anyway for whatever reason). That is NOT the same as finding him innocent.

"Innocent until proven guilty" is a common phrase but it is not a legal concept.

Yes, but it still holds true. Since he was not proven guilty, that means he is innocent because they were unable to prove he was guilty. I'm not say he didn't kill them, I'm just saying that they were unable to prove he did and therefore he is innocent of the crime in the eyes of the law.

That is still incorrect. He is "not guilty" in the eyes of the law. There is a difference between being innocent and being not guilty. He was found not guilty, he was not found innocent. There is no such legal status as being "innocent." Your legal status is "not guilty" until you are found guilty in a court of law. That does not mean you are innocent (which means you did not commit the crime). Innocent is a laymen's term, not a legal status.

In any event he was found to have committed the murders in civil court.

By the way a synonym of not guilty is innocent, so they mean the same. Double jeopardy also means he couldn't ever be convicted of the crime after there was insufficient evidence to prosecute him the first time.

In law, you cannot be found "innocent." That is a laymen's term not a legal term. You are either guilty or not guilty. And being found not guilty is not being found innocent. That's all I have to say about it, it's okay if you don't accept it.
