Although non-German citizens comprise just 13.7 per cent of the country’s total population, they were suspects in exactly half of those cases.

Nationals from Turkey, Afghanistan, and Syria were the most commonly represented among alleged sexual offenders, according to the government, which cited figures from the Federal Statistical Office of Germany.

A separate report from the BKA earlier that same year also indicated that from 2009 to 2020 the proportion of non-German suspects in group sexual assault cases grew from 29.55 per cent to 41.18 per cent, while recorded cases of sexual assault jumped from 35 per cent to 50 per cent.

That’s messed up if all she did was share facts. An actual quote would be useful. That said, a bit of cognizance about Germany’s history is prudent. They have to be extremely careful about general characterizations and profiling of minorities. I’m not entirely certain that it’s globally pervasive, but in the west it’s still VERY common to compare people we don’t much like to Adolf Hitler. Even when any comparison is hyperbole at best. With that guy as the preeminent historical figure for their nation, they have to watch that kind of stuff much more carefully than, say, a US politician.

Such crimes include rape; and underlying factors are such as culture and values, which in their often Islamic background involves objectifying women as not having the same integral rights as men and therefore rape isn't unacceptable. It is even, in some instances, socially acceptable to rape in their cultures if the woman refuses the husband's bed for example.
