I don't want to hear any shit about bathrooms or locker rooms. That's ancillary but separate from my question. Just competition. That's it.
If a biological woman wants to mix it up with the boys then I say bring it on. She obviously knows something we don't. But for biological men to infiltrate women's sports is wrong. Those guys know exactly what they are doing and only want the glory of a win, even if it's at the cost of women's sports.
At minimum a biological man should have to go through the full transition and wait 10 years before they can compete in the female category. And yes I made that timeframe up, but I think some time to allow the testosterone to leach from the system needs to be an additional requirement. They will already have the benefits they gained during puberty.
Or we could just create a whole category for trans folk, but so far for some reason the biological males have chosen to not compete in that category... I wonder why.

+1 yI’d need to see some thorough studies on it. My gut tells me that it might be tough to have them compete with women.
I’m not too concerned about the outcome, I’m more just concerned that the topic is approached respectfully, with GENUINE care for what becomes of trans athletes, and it’s not used as a way to vilify trans people over a topic that, frankly, I never heard a ton of concern about in the past. Like nobody really cared about women’s sports except the women who played them until trans-women tried to play. I understand that that creates some questions, and that’s fine, but the obviously manufactured energy for the integrity of usually-youth/amateur women’s athletics is just so hollow and obviously being used as a proxy to just give trans people guff about SOMETHING, and have it cloaked in some level of legitimacy. Nobody is like “hey, let’s all sit down and figure out an amenable solution”, it really seems like it’s just based around giving trans people a hard time without people calling you an asshole.
The discussion has to be had, and we’ll hammer it out, but the energy about it is super important. Approach it like you’re trying to help both sides of the table, not just defend girls/women from the big, scary trans athletes, lmao.

+1 yA person can choose any identity they want, but competition is another matter. A man who "becomes" a woman still has most attributes of the male body, which is physically stronger than the female body, and that creates an unfair advantage. The reverse, woman who becomes "man" is less obvious, but there are some advantages to having a female body, which typically has more endurance than a male body.
Competition should be limited to biological male vs biological male and biological female vs biological female.

5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Trans"women" should not be allowed to compete against women in athletics or beauty pageants because trans"women" are NOT women. Women should be allowed to shine on their own merits as representatives of the female sex/gender.
If anything, trans"women" should be banned from women's athletics for the same reason that doping is is not allowed. They have male bone structure and male musculature, and only "look" like women because of drugs. That is still true even if they began transitioning as kids. But trans"woman" athletes don't transition as kids and then become competitive athletes. They are mediocre male athletes who suddenly decide as adults that they "identify" as women.
I think anyone who takes hormones and gets plastic surgery should be banned from beauty pageants. So that rules out trans"women".
Let men and women compete against each other in chess and other academic pursuits.30 Reply10.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. They are still men,, men compete against men, women compete against women. They are not allowed to compete against women Trand, and if they do, they should be banned for life. It’s like what if Mike Tyson came out as female Trans and started taking all these different hormone medication‘s and having an operation is he still going to fight a woman no way

Agreed. It's simply inequitable
2.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Any athlete who discovers that the team they're about to compete against has someone of the opposite sex on that team... should boycott participating in that match, even if it means being cut from the team. ATHLETES MUST TAKE A DECISIVE STAND!!!

2. It would still be women vs women and men vs men.
3. Trans men obviously shouldn't compete against cis women if they're on hrt, they'll have the unfair advantage of male-level testosterone. Trans women would not have that if they've been on feminizing hrt for long enough, so they could compete against cis women and it would still be fair.
4. Idgaf because SPORTS don't effect my life. People drumming up outrage against Trans people over things that aren't happening, does effect my life, bc it effects people I care about how their rights could be taken away not just in sports (which they also don't care about) but in other, much more serious areas as a result...
10 ReplyIf the women competing in these leagues are cool with it, then fine. It's their leagues. But nobody ever seems to ask them. Everyone else that has nothing to do with women's sports wants to decide what's best for their leagues. We'll, I say ask the actual competitors what they think.

Their governing bodies claim to speak for them but in reality you're right.
5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There should be a committee that has a financial interest in a fun, balanced sport with as many people in it as possible.
If it is off the charts unfair, unbalanced, or ultimately un-fun for the sport, the community can make a ruling. The reality is that a random 1% of any sport isn't going to be that impressive at that sport, trans or not, so let them have fun. Some progeny junior high schooler is 100x better than anyone trans in high school. Let them have fun like 99.999 who won't make a dime.

Anyone who thinks its okay for trans women to compete against females should get their head checked.
Why can’t you consider the feelings of females? Most of them most likely don’t want a trans woman aka biological male to be competing against them in sports12 Reply- +1 y
Ummm I'm with you? Men v men and women vs women.
Opinion Owner+1 yGood.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIf trans athletes want to compete then it should be on a category for trans athletes alone or against their Biological sex not the Non-Biological sex.
Have you ever noticed that this need for trans athletes to compete against the Non-Biological sex only goes in one direction that is M to F, you never hear from F to M trans athletes demanding to compete against Biological men? And F to M trans athletes get ZERO SUPPORT from the so called 'trans allies'?

Transwomen are men and nothing can change that, they can compete against other men.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/URz-RYEOaig00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Its one thing if it happens on a national level but bringing men to women's division on a international level gives countries doing it a unfair advantage.
10 Reply463 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes they should be allowed to compete, it’s a gender acceptance thing. Everyone has a right to express themselves or their identity.
