No. I think it should be legal to punch someone in the mouth if they say something that offends you. This was normal when I was growing up and people were REAL respectful back in the day. They still disagreed but nobody was outright being rude to other people's faces for laughs. People could hang out with others they disagreed with on major issues too. They didn't have to be "friends" but they weren't really enemies either. Of course there were fewer crazy people around then. It turns out that when a whole generation of people grows up without ever being punched in the mouth or seeing anybody else punched in the mouth for what they said they get soft and more rude. The worst combination. They start trouble & as soon as there's a risk of getting held accountable by another person they run to the cops & snitch or go to the media whining about it.

Fact is, some people treat life like a reddit post. They get offended and triggered by other people by deliberately mean.

A great way to solve this would be to legalize softcore violence like punching someone for getting in your face. That would force people to make choices more carefully.

Limiting, no. Actions and events can make us feel terrified and that can be legal grounds for a lawsuit.

Example coming to mind. If a product is a lemon (say a motorcycle) and the consumer has become terrified to use it, their rights to get their money back should not become limited.

I know a national teacher's union spoke out against some parents, but I've heard of no parent being targeted, nor have I head of one single participant in a Latin mass being targeted, only that one FBI field office suggest Latin mass may be a place for extremists, but it was never acted upon.
