Is this one of the reasons why the general public finds the theory that we all came from Africa believable?

Is part of the reason because people find the theory that we came from primitive origins believable, and people associate black people with being primitive?

Basically I’m saying that people’s perception of black people can (to a certain extent) influence their believability of the theory even if it’s only half consciously thought of. (And maybe only thought of when the discussion arises)

And of course no one’s just going to say this thought out loud, for couple reasons: it’s weird to say this out of context, and fear that other would think it is offensive.

No it's not. People believe it because that's what both the archaeological and DNA evidence points to. The middle east theory is largely based on the bible and the fact that's where civilisation spread from, people simply found that more palatable if wrong.
