Yes it was called Pangea - the super continent? It then broke apart due to plate tectonics and severed into the continents as we know them today.

So in answering your question, yes, we essentially all came from the same place in the beginning.

I agree, hating someone according to their color is stupid. We all came from the same beginnings and were brothers and sisters, not sure why that changed over the years, but it is something I hope can be remedied someday.
