Feminists of GAG, are you familiar with the famous debate between Betty Friedan and Simone De Beauvoir that happened in 1975?

If you truly are a feminist than you should know about it, They are two of the most famous feminists of the 20th century. They were debating on women's choice. Betty Suggested that women should have the choice of weather or not to enter the work force or stay at home. Simone on the other hand suggested that Women should be forced to enter the work force because if offered the choice most women of the time would choose to stay at home with their family. Her reason that women should be forced was that if women weren't forced there would be no women's liberation.

This i believe is where this idiotic notion that its somehow shameful for women to be moms and have a family. Most women who identify as feminists today are the Simone De Beauvoir type. Especially the ones that shame other women for their choices. I am not a feminist, i support true equality where no one is forced to do something just because an idiotic ideology suggests it should be.

My guess is you didn't read the article. Both women mentioned in the article are women that are taught as the gospel truth in gender/women's studies courses.
