hi and hhhmmm, not at its best but i feel very fortunate that my gen x played outside, no mobiles, so no record, not a thought that anywhere you went a pic could show up, you either had to talk face to face or use a landline and speak it out loud... however, im starting to understand my childrens perspective more now... it is all relevant... when i was 11 i knew the local woods and fields and road ways to local villages... but oneday my son showed me things he had built on minecraft... im not talking about the average play maps, this was somewhere he had built a giant giant transformer and the tall legged star wars machine... that boy knows maps of worlds that dont exist in this realm... even ten years ago when i watch both my son and daughter game they are so quick i can't even see what is happening... they know land maps cities worlds that exist only in the brain from tech... son 21 went to japan for his 21st with 5 mates all nerdy types gamers and ball bearing shooters... i was thrilled, he went and took pictures that resembled famous game points and knew where to go through gaming... his sister sais if he went to america he would know from grand theft auto... halo omg... i love the fact their brain networks are wired so differently to mine.. i wonder at what they will feel when its their turn to the next gen?
Never. Each generation had their own problems, some the same as the last and some not. For example, racism is a problem and multiple generations have had to deal with it. Learning to cope with cyber bullying is an issue that has arose within the last 30 years.
I think even further back. When I was in toddler stages, the world was great.
The time of less technology.
The time where the alphabet community wasn't pushing their shit in my face everywhere I go.
The time where not everything you do in life was recorded and could be used against you.
The time when people actually socialized normally and didn't just sit at home feeling lonely.
The time where people were more committed in relationships because they weren't always glancing at other options.
The time where the majority of women weren't anywhere near as egotistical, feminist, and having a "not needing a man" mentality.
Bring back those times.
I do have nostalgia for my teenage years but I prefer my childhood. Just play, be imaginative, be happy for the smallest of things like your favorite dinner being served, doted on etc. Sometimes you wish you could go back just for a day and relive that.

When I was a teenager, half the world was convinced it would end the year I graduated. The other half still hated Obama for being president. Another group of people were fighting against the gay people trying to get married. The world has always been a shitty place, the difference is how much you’re aware of it.
I'm not sure... when I was a kid we had the oxon hole and Charnobyl... the Iron Curtain that divided Europe after WWII...
I'm not sure... we had different problems, but I wouldn't say then or now is better... it's different
The memory is a funny thing... we all talk about the good old days but if you dig a little deeper by about every important measure things have gotten better.
I don't know about that but I had a lot more fun anyways.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/PIb6AZdTr-AThe world was at its best probably in my late 20s and early 30s. I still felt and looked young. But I also was starting to gain some wisdom about the world.
the weather was way better, that's for sure...
Well, it was at least much better. But no, the world was a much better place in my early childhood.
The whole world? I wouldn’t know. The US was at its best in the 1950s through the ‘60s, in my opinion.
I don't think the US was at it's best. I definitely think it was better though. It's kinda hard to say when "the best" in the US was. Maybe late 80s into the 90s? It's hard to say but there is lots of USA nostalgia
I'm an 80s kid. I'm not sure if the world was at its best, but I do know it was 100% a hell of a lot better than it is now.
well duh. but not cause the world was a better place. simply because everything in life was paid and taken care of by someone else but myself for me xD
Oh God no! But, yes, I am a bit nostalgic for when I was a teen... just not the zits part.
I started high school as a tiny, handsome13-year-old (Sept.6,1966), so I liked the era, because there seemed to be less peer pressure to join certain groups.
The late 1990s were the best of my lifetime, so late 20s.
I just turned 19 and have loved being a teenager.. it is a fun time in ones life and hopefully life will only get better and better
For most people life was easier in their teenage years.
Yes and no. Yes because teenagers typically don’t have a whole lot of responsibilities, no because at that age, you are much less adapt to dealing with difficulties in life.
True
I'd love to be a teenager again over 16 with my current knowledge.
Seems like it was, things were cheaper, people were more social and we had no responsibility back then
No as an adult. Don't hav 2 study 4 school or listn 2 unfair teachers. Not all of them were unfair n all that.
When I was a kid in the 90’s was the best, it was still good when I was a teenager tho
yea kinda. the 2010s where better than now
The nostalgia is lying. I won't elaborate on this.
It's definitely better than it is now.
No. not really.
slightly better
Most people do it's human behavior
Definitely not
Yes. Because I was 13 in 1994. The best year ever
