Biden DOJ indicts doctor who exposed transgender child mutilation at Texas hospital. Is it ethical for the government to silence information?

"The Biden administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted a small-town surgeon who revealed that ghastly transgender surgeries were being secretly committed on minors at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) after the hospital had purportedly discontinued its transgender program.

"Dr. Eithan Haim – who identified himself earlier this year as the anonymous whistleblower who provided evidence of the ongoing so-called “sex-change procedures” for children as young as 11 to Manhattan Institute journalist Christopher Rufo last year – said that U. S. marshalls showed up at his home earlier this week, summoning him to court to face four felony counts of alleged HIPAA violations.

"Haim has always maintained that no medical privacy laws were broken when he provided evidence of TCH’s continued transgender program to Rufo.

"The DOJ’s investigation, which began nearly a year ago, and the looming prosecution of Haim is largely seen as an intimidation tactic intended to enforce silence on those who would otherwise speak out against the favored policies of the Biden regime in general and against those who object to child-mutilating “gender transition” surgeries and chemical interventions in particular.

"Studies find that more than 80 percent of children suffering gender dysphoria outgrow it on their own by late adolescence, and that full “reassignment” surgery fails to resolve gender-confused individuals’ heightened tendency to engage in self-harm and suicide – and likely exacerbates it, including by reinforcing their confusion and neglecting the actual root causes of their mental strife.

"A large body of evidence shows that transgender hormonal and surgical interventions cause serious, even life-threatening, injuries, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke, infertility, bone density loss, emotional problems, and permanent damage to reproductive organs."

I thought whistle blowers were protected.

It's not clear if he gave out private identifying medical information. And if he did, where and how did he get it? I don't know the details of HIPAA, but it seems to me that giving out general information about what goes on in a hospital would not violate HIPAA.

So I think it hinges on whether he did or didn't give out identifying information. But even if he did, how are others treated who give out such information? Even if he did, he could still be singled out and treated more harshly.

I know hospitals seem to be VERY strict about HIPAA. There are some hospitals that only have private rooms now, because a semi-private room means a room-mate can overhear the doctors and nurses talking. So private rooms only now. That's a huge price driver.

I read that the law suit will likely fail. But the legal bills, themselves, will be devastating.
Also, his personal information was handed out, so "woke" fanatics are hounding and threatening him.

Part of the goal is to destroy his reputation and ability to practice medicine. And the main goal is to send a message to other ethical practitioners who might be tempted to shine light on the horrors of transitioning treatment.

They did the same thing with professionals who came forward with information about the deadly covid protocols, alternative treatments, and the dangers of the experimental jabs.

They let punk crooks out of jail with a seemingly catch-and-release justice, yet put a whistle blower in prison for exposing wokeness by a hospital? Was their gender operations free or something? I know a lot of people who would want an operation for free. We're doomed if Biden gets re-elected.

I don't think its even legal for the US government to silence information so ethical isn't a factor. Free speech should protect this. But from an ethical point of view I don't think sharing of information is ever unethical.

We have a state run media that will do anything to cover up all the illegal stuff tha Biden is doing. When Trump is in the White House maybe he can do something about that. At least defund public television and NPR.
