Why are they separate? If you recruit fairly you should get diversity without trying. The problem comes when outsiders start outcompeting the locals for jobs because they're more educated intelligent and experienced. That's when the real moaning starts.

I prefer the hiring policy of merit, Excellence and Intelligence. The recent leaders of the various UK countries is proof that DEI does not work and is a disastrous policy. They even have all female shortlists for candidates in the GE here in the UK.

100% merit based. Equity, inclusion, diversity, and all these other lofty woke goals erode the quality and integrity of an organization quickly. Hire the best and nothing less.
