It does not matter as Iran does not view it that way, it knows that to escalate it to an all out war in the Middle East means countries will need to choose sides. The gulf states will be a mess, Saudi and Egypt will be on Israel’s side, the rest is a bit unknown. It’s only an act of war if a country who has an area attacked views it that way.

I'm not entirely certain about the accuracy of your post, but if it is accurate, this a clear crime/war crime and the perpetrators need to be criminally charged.

"Act of war" is subjective, but I would personally consider that scenario to be one.

Israel was engaged in a war in palestine but also it engages in bombing a foreign countries embassy. Such actions can trigger a major war in the region

Iran has openly aided hamas terrorists, gave them logistical support, and their spies at the embassy gave them intelligence against Israel. So yeah, it was provoked.

No because it's in the context of an ongoing undeclared war. So it's called "tag, you're it." Also it's well known that countries use their embassies as fronts for intelligence operations and clandestine military operations. In Iran's case that would include terrorist strikes.
