He would be an idiot if he did anything but moderate his tone. His base knows he has to say whatever he has to to get elected so they shouldn't care if he lies and, for example, says he has nothing to do with project 2025 or no longer intends to be a dictator. They know he's going to no matter what he says and just needs to trick the left leaning apolitical into thinking it wouldn't really be a big deal if Trump won so they don't bother to vote for Biden.
