@chrissykerdock Who squashed the bi-partisan bill to address the border? It happened recently. The republicans because trump said he wanted credit for fixing it. Again, here a a few examples to read from. The republicans demanded a bill, rightfully so, Biden crafted a bill they agreed to, and Trump stopped it because he needs it to be a crisis to benefit his campaign. They could have signed it, and Trump could have, if wins in 2024 added to it if he wanted. But no. It's on him now.

We do fun America. Look at the infrastructure act helping to fix crumbling infrastructure also in red states despite those right wing leaders voting it down, take the funds and try to take credit for it. That's just one example with two sources for each point you made. A local ex by me through this act allowed citizens much needed upgraded sewer systems without having the town jack up taxes to pay for it.. why because we pay taxes already, and the Biden infrastructure act allowed those funds back into America saving us money.

@chrissykerdock Simply put I linked articles showing how the border crisis is now being continued because of Republicans. There was a bill to address the crisis that they originally were on board with and Biden signed it. Then trump got involved and squashed it so that he could keep saying it's Biden's border crisis so he could solve it but only if he's elected. He didn't care for it to be fixed if he couldn't get credit. Read the articles. He's on record saying he squashed it.

Trump stopped a solution to the border plain and simple.

The infrastructure act that Biden passed puts money back into America by funding red and blue states that need funds to fix bad roads, bridges, tunnels etc. It even helps the red states where their politicians that voted against it and now take credit for. Feel free to read those articles too. We fund Ukraine, we fund Israel we fund a lot outside the country for our interests too. The infrastructure act is a way that saves Americans by not having to increase taxes more to fix an aging infrastructure with the tax money we already pay. This was a huge deal and much needed because our infrastructure is old. If you don't understand what this means, I am not sure what to say.

I believe that one the the great losses this country has suffered in the last several year is the art of civil debate. I'm trying to be better at not getting angry when I have these conversations but it's so difficult when you try to be fact based and are rebutted with feelings and rhetoric without it being based in anything solid. It's also hard to acknowledge that the political side you lean towards isn't perfect either. I don't think the democrats are close to perfect but I have to call it for what it is and that's basing it in results not accusations without evidence.

We aren't a true 100% democracy and haven't been at all. We don't vote on every issue. That said democracy does exist in our Republic and when you have people saying you want to be a dictator, and now more recently, telling Christian voters, they'll only have to vote one more time if he wins this election and they'll never have to vote again, it is plausible for people to say democracy is in danger of a wanna be dictator wins. What we mean is that the democracy granted to us, or really our entire constitution, and society as we know it is at risk. I guess you all aren't taking him at his word. I do. The democrats aren't not demonstrating democracy by nominating Harris or not doing a primary at this point. It's within the rules. That means they aren't demonstrating a threat to democracy. Our system isn't perfect but what is your point? Biden can step down and she would be President anyway. I find it interesting you used the word violent. It pits Americans against each other, and although the Democrats aren't perfect, the Republicans, in my humble opinion, are the more divisive party by far. You don't have to agree, and I see this as a peaceful conversation. I'm sorry you see it as violent.
