Why is there black only events but not white only?

Then you google and there it is! The explanation as to Why it’s NOT racist to have only blacks events.

if you have to have a Dillon article to explain why something isn’t racist, iT IS RACiST.

If those spaces exist which I have absolutely no issue with, then white spaces should exists, as well as only Asian events and only Hispanic events etc.

I’m not even white for the record, just YouTube just played an add without skip option and it was coincidentally a Black only even event which made me right away think that’s racist! Because no other race has their events being commercialized this way.

The issue arises when it’s frowned upon when other races have it. Otherwise it wouldn’t be an issue.

I don't know this was always kinda a stupid question to me.

Try going to an event that is all black and see if you can piece together why some of the time they might want black only.

Go to a Jamaican party, go to a Dominican function or an Arab party or an Armenian church.

Whatever it is, sometimes people just want to be able to enjoy their culture around other people who understand it.

It's ironic that white people tend to not mind as much because they're more open minded in a certain kind of way. But you can't blame groups for wanting to be with their own kind every once in a while.

It's also not fair to say why aren't there white groups because white isn't a fucking ethnicity. Or I guess if you think it is, that sorta makes it one.

There's Scandinavians, polish, German, Welsh, Irish etc. Completely different cultures. How are you going to lump all that into one thing?

I belonged to a self help group. They had every category except White. I dealt with it for a long time. I told the leadership that this setup was denying people a chance to find wisdom based of external characteristic. A am Jewish and asked to go to the minority group, they said no! I told them that they have no idea what it is like living as a religious minority. They said, form a Jewish group. I asked. Why can anyone go to the general group and you have separate groups for others. They get more groups to go to. Answer, they need a safe space. The mentality was so stubborn, I left.

Well... I've never been to a "Blacks only" event. I even have fam that it white and we all have events together. But I'm pretty sure that black people who do that do that to fellowship with each other and experience being with other black people.

But if another race does it and says it’s to follow ship with each other and experience being with others if their own race only, it would not be acceptable, so the issue is why is it acceptable for any race to do that. If it’s ok then all races should be able to do it is my point or at least not commercialize it.

Yes it would... if a bunch of white people were having a whites only party I wouldn't be like "Oh they're racist." It's just as simple as that. We need to be able to have time to appreciate our culture with people who look like us right?

I agree with you, but you know that’s not true. There WOULD be hell about an event being only whites being commercialized on tv/internet etc it would make the headline in an instant being broadcasted everywhere. And they would likely somehow blame trump for it too even if he had nothing to do with it.
