Major interest in geopol, politics and history. Interest in sociology is increasing. Have been interested in evolutionary ethics for qute some time as I think it helps greatly in explaining why the way we are what we are. I tend to refer to 2 Million BC, when Homo Erectus, evolved for that reason.
Interesting! ๐ฎ
But not always nice! Evolutionary Ethics has few synonyms... Evolutionary Psychology, Evolutionary ethics and others. Google and see if it appeals.
Simple example is if a male hominid A found older female hominids more attractive than young female hominids than he might bond with an infertile female. In contrast male hominid B prefers young female hominids.
A will leave few, if any, progeny. B will leave more progeny. In time B type males will be more common than A type males.
It is possible male hominid C might be happy with the young female he bonded with whilst she is still getting pregnant to him but say if it has been 2 years since she last gave birth he might look around for a new young female to have babies with.
Not so nice to dump your wife when she is used up. In some ways strong moral proscriptions might have been created to bury an evolutionary advantageous ethic that is not good for society any more.
Yeah. Youโre a rare one.
Is that good or bad? lol
For me, itโs good!

Yes, as some may have noticed I like to talk about politics, history and, even though I am not Religious, Religion.
I've got a lot of time on my hands due to being 'unfit' for work and I spend a lot of time reading articles about those subjects on, mainly, Wikipedia. I know, Wikipedia is not perfect and you can most certainly gauge the authors views to some extend, but it is most certainly not as bad as some people believe.
If I have conversations with people... Generally, at some point, I will undoubtedly start about either one, or all, of the subjects. Mostly it is being appreciated, people appreciate how much information I can add. I am, of course, fully aware that I am not, nor can't be, always right; I don't want to either. If people challenge me in a polite manner and can reinforce their view with supporting material which I can verify, I am more than capable to admit I was wrong, adjust my views accordingly and try to improve.
Due to struggling with mental health myself, and having been a victim of Emotional Abuse and Neglect, I feel I can understand other people who struggle well and I feel a need to offer support. I can only speak from my own experience, I am of course no Medical Specialist nor Social Worker, and I prefer not to ask questions; I do not want to give people the impression that I am prying into their private lives. By talking about myself, and my own experiences, I am hoping the other person feels comfortable enough to open up to me too.
Yes I'm the same way I like to hear other people's opinions on how they see things because we always see things different
We feel things different we are different and I love that interconnection and learning about the person at the same time about what they see and what they feel
Now that I am older, I am.
Consider visiting your local library (if it is a decent one) or nearby university library or a good bookstore chain and pick up a copy of "Foreign Affairs". I started reading it when I was a teen.
Definitely and absolutely.
Whenever there is an issue in my country of America, I look at what is being proposed / the history of the issue also if other foreign powers solved this issue in a more effective method or worse one to learn off of & expand from.
I love reading / watching / learning about history and find it very much entertaining especially pieces Iโve never learned about or just scratched the surface of.
in psychology, I like to read about new concepts and researches
Psychology topics are very fascinating, too. ๐ฅน
In a way I really do enjoy things like that. I've always been a history nerd. And current events are also interesting.
Especially what you realize how much history actually repeates itself and you see things happening now and you just think, "hey that's totally happened just like this before"
We are forced to take an interest in politics by those who are interested in the same interest in telling us what we can, cannot, and now increasingly must do.
Some of us can still largely ignore International relations. But history is a subject far too few people are truly interested in, as it is the story of whom we are and where we came from.
Yeah I tend to like that stuff though International relations I get into less then the others. I tend to view stuff like politics and sociology alongside other aspects of value making (+philosophy, theology) or how humans tick (+Psychology).
I am, I could also listen and talk to someone about these topics for hours. If I knew what I know today I would have taken a degree in International Relations.
Not always but sometime I watch some podcasts of guys who have interest in geopolitics. It's better than any sleeping pill.
Sociology, yes. International Relations on occasion. History, usually. Politics, rarely (not beyond my duty).
I bored of it long ago. Some people suck the fun out.
Well now, that's alright I guess. I never got into politics until the way DJT was being treated caught my eye. Then I experienced a crash course in politics. The ugly and the homely.
Good we can talk about Donald Trump whenever youโre ready
It is actually but I would rather not now days people are shitty to much I hate observing it now...
I was at a time in my life, not anymore.
Whaaaa
What happened? ;-;
nope... not that much

Not as much as I used to but yeah
I am more of a science nerd.
