It is being done in the Netherlands and if politicians don't like the result, the often, Non-Binding, Referendum results are being ignored.

You've mentioned Ukraine, so lets use that as an example.

In 2016 there was a referendum in the Netherlands regarding Ukrainian entry into the EU; this was already at a time that Russia and Ukraine were in confrontation with each other (No war yet; heavy shelling in the Donbass region from both sides).

Turn out was low, 32.3%... so that tell you how much Dutch people cared about Ukrainian entry and Ukraine in general.
61% of Voters said *No* to Ukrainian entry into the EU.

The government cast the result aside and pursued Ukrainian entry in the EU anyway.

Now a couple of years later, after years and years of Pro-Ukrainian/ Anti-Russian propaganda it is being claimed that the majority of the Dutch population is in favour of Ukraine's entry into the EU... but no referendum comes. Why? Because most likely people will vote against it again.

Despite people having been brainwashed to believe Russia is evil, and wants to conquer Europe and the World (absolute nonsense... Russia has always pursued greater cooperation with the EU; countries like the UK, before Brexit, prevented that)... it doesn't change anything about the fact that Ukraine is a corrupt country and will drain the EU's finances.

We do not live in a Democracy as we are daily being told; In a good functioning Democracy voting works and politicians accept the result without protesting nor contesting it.

We are being governed by Oligarchs:

Our Politicians either belong to the Oligarch class or are the public face of it; all politicians do is safeguarding the interests of the Oligarchs. That's why it doesn't matter who you vote for:

Left-Wing/ Right-Wing? Makes no difference

Republicans/ Democrats? Makes no difference

Labour/ Conservatives? Makes no difference

Nothing will change for us, ordinary people, at least not anything which will benefit us and will improve our lives.

Contrary to what many Americans seem to think... While our 'Left-Wing' parties are indeed 'Left-Wing' according to US standards; they are not Left-Wing.

There are of course some slight differences between the 'Left' and the 'Right, mainly on Public Serves, Taxes and Immigration... but not much; the difference is so small you wouldn't even notice it.

All political parties, regardless of where they stand on the political spectrum, have fully embraced the Neoliberal' political, economical and social ideology. 'Neoliberalism' is a 'Right-Wing' ideology, it's an ideology which espouses a gradual shift towards 'full free-market economy', with very few regulations, low tax and a small government... to enable greater participation of the private sector in the economy, society and politics in general with greater profits as a result. Everything needs to make way to enable high profits to be generated.

The promise was the if the wealthy are being supported to gain bigger wealth that wealth would trickle down to the lowest layers of society; of course this doesn't happen, the wealthy are hoarding... our governments are forced to print more money... leading to inflations... the wealthy see their fortune become less, and thus will hoard even more.

It is no different here in the UK; the Conservatives tried to get into agreements with developing countries... Pay large amounts of money to those countries so they would take all the refugees coming to the UK (Rwanda for example); Labour has now abandoned those plans, but has no new plans to reduce immigration, legal and illegal, because in the end migrants/ refugees will add to the workforce thus lowering wages (High pool of Workers + low amount of Jobs will lead to income suppression).

800,000 people come to the UK annually... Mostly legal migration; only 13,500 illegal refugees have managed to get to the UK... on a population of only 69 million.

There is a massive shortage of highly educated worked (doctors for example); employers *choose* to prioritise foreigners over domestic workers because they have been trained in their professions already and have experience... it is cheaper than training your own, domestic, workforce.

This doesn't even go for highly skilled/ educated workers solely; farmers prioritise Eastern/ Central European workers over British workers because those Eastern/ Central European workers are more likely to work on 'slavery wages' and are easier to exploit than British workers are.

I think I know what you mean... e. g. Afghans after their regime collapsed and the Taliban regained control of the country; and Ukrainians who escape the war against Russia.

No country will allow 'unrestricted migration', not even countries which may have somewhat Left-Wing' views on Migration: It is not sustainable in the long run and will come with problems.

Just look at Germany when they allowed 1 mil Syrians in for a limited amount of time. The stories of what happened weren't as bad as some news outlets said it was, but it is undisputable that Germany had to deal with some issues.

Send a referandum with a "nice fraud title " most people will vote yes before reading it.
