I was recently banned from another online community. It was a site for software developers. I did not speak about my personal life, and I only asked career-oriented questions.
I saw one of the moderators visited my linkedin profile, and the next thing I knew, I was banned.
I had a post showing my support for Trump. Was it that?
The only other things I can think of was really bad things I did in my past. I had a misdemeanor stalking conviction from 8 years ago. I also was caught up in a sting operation by some vigilantes, who are now facing legal troubles themselves.
I am a changed man now. I am engaged and in pursuit of my relationship with my fiance and maintaining my career. I am a Christian and a church goer and I strive to be a better person.

Yes, a terrible past defines a person. But their growth from it defines them too. If you were banned over political ideology, you're dealing with emotionally immature people, and don't need to be around them anyway.
But if they found out about your criminal history, it's fair for them to be concerned and try to avoid you. Especially something like stalking. And the way you describe it, makes it sound like a pedo sting. If it was that, then they definitely have the right to avoid you. Rebuilding takes time and not everyone will forgive your past. And many of us know that not everyone truly changes. Past is a good predictor of the future, and all.
"I am a changed man now" Does that mean you no longer support Trump?
Nice try. I will be voting for Trump, but my days of getting in trouble I want to put behind me.
So you continue to support the man who refused to peacefully turn over the government to the man America voted for; you agree with his telling Americans that he does not need their votes since he will be the president regardless of who they vote for; you agree with his saying there will be no more elections after this because he will be the dictator. Nope, you are not a changed man.
Everyone, including a political candidate, has every right to question the integrity of an election. Corruption most certainly exists in our government.
Trump did not specifically instruct others to storm inside the Capitol in the manner that transpired. This was blown way out of proportion, yet there is a two tiered justice system where leftist rioters and looters are given more leniency than conservative activists.
When the left intentionally targets the political opposition with more fiercely due to one's opposing political affiliation, that is what they do in third world authoritarian dictatorships.
Everybody had the right to question the integrity of an election. But they do not have the right to lie about the facts. And he did not instruct them in what manner to storm the Capitol, but he did instruct them to storm it. And cut the crap. those who stormed the capitol were rioters and looters, not just activists. And many on the left are activists and not looters. And the right is always attacking the political affiliation of the left with just as much fury as the left does.
No, he said to WALK down to the Capitol to cheer on the politicians. He didn't mention breaking and entering or violence. People are allowed to demonstrate. Leftists do it too, although I see more violent rioters from the left more rather than peaceful.
He invited violent groups to come there. In a 70-minute address, Mr Trump exhorted them to march on Congress where politicians had met to certify Democrat Joe Biden's win. The attack began moments after he took the applause. Those words have now played a central part in his second impeachment which lawmakers voted in favor of. 'We won this election, and we won it by a landslide'
This was three minutes into his speech. It was a false assertion that Democrats used as the starting point for the incitement charge - not just because he said it on this day but for weeks before.
This quote appears in the article of impeachment, the charge that was backed by the House of Representatives, lower chamber of Congress.
In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials. Shortly before the Joint Session commenced, President Trump, addressed a crowd at the Ellipse in Washington, DC. There, he reiterated false claims that "we won this election, and we won it by a landslide".
'We will never give up. We will never concede. It doesn't happen'
This was Mr Trump saying in the clearest terms yet that he will never accept Mr Biden's win. An intelligent person can see he is calling for violent action. The crowd saw it as that and they were coreect. He was not inviting them to sit peacefully and sing Kumbaya!
