In a Long Island neighborhood, the 'tolerant' left vandalized residents' Trump banners?

Someone I know lives on Long Island. Election Day is approaching and Trump flags are appearing on lawns there. Last week, my friend's across the street neighbor's yard banner was ripped in half, and pulled down. After that, it happened all over the neighborhood and the vandal was caught on security cameras. The police did not seem to care.

My neighbor's solution was to get a new banner and wire it to a fully charged capacitor. Their doorbell camera was re-aimed to watch it. When the vandal grabbed the banner, he was zapped like with a stun gun, fell down hard and then hopped around the yard a bit before running off.

Was that a good solution to the problem? Don't know why Democrats think vandalism is "free speech", but that was a good Republican solution that worked. Behavior Modification.
