This may be controversial, but I'm going to say it anyway: when the US left all of the military equipment in Afghanistan to the Taliban, I believe they were the ones who helped Palestine and planned to attack Israel first due to all of the things that made them angry in the past between Israel and Palestine, but people are forgetting the fact that the taliban supports Palestine. The reason why the US is helping Israel is because they're responsible for starting the war and supplying the Taliban with weapons

There is no shortage of weapons in the middle east. I mean the Obama administration was arming ISIS way back for the war in Syria and assad.

Israel follows US strategy and methods very carefully. What likely happened is that Israeli forces knew what HAMAS had planned and just let it happen because it gives them justification to invade Gaza and finally stop the missile attacks. Hezbollah and hamas both played into Israel's hands, that's not coincidence.

If you look at most us wars, there's usually a pretext for it that justifies military action and US objectives are met. 9/11 is a good example. The us wanted a pretext to invade the middle east and stir the pot and the CIA and FBI just watched Alqueda get on the airliners. World War 2 the US attacked the Japanese economy b4 pearl harbour and armed the Chinese to fight them, then b4 the Japanese attacked the us carriers were not in Pearl Harbour. The Gulf of tonkin incident which never happened got us troops into south Vietnam. Spajnish-American war the us maine is sunk mysteriously given justification for war with Spain and the us kicks Spain out of Cuba and takes its Pacific terroriories. WW1 is the same. In WW2 the US was trying to get German u boats to attack us ships by escorting British convoys as far as Greenland. If you want to know what happened and why, you look at how it benefited the US or in this case Israel.
