The sad thing is there are so many that have been brainwashed that will actually defend such a system even if it means it goes against nature and their best interest as human beings...

The refusal to update the education department. We’ve had the same system for education for the last 100 or so years. The system is designed to make consumer-workers for factories, and it used to be that a high school degree was all one needed for any job. That’s no longer the case as schools focus too greatly on standardized testing as a means of receiving federal funding and it’s next to impossible to navigate the job market even with a PhD.

@CalmUntilAbused Having a PhD doesn't help you become an entrepreneur. If anything, having a PhD makes you more risk-averse and unwilling to try. Many people that started companies with only a HS education became multimillionaires and even a few billionaires.

Emotions as main source of motivation. This isn't an efficient way to find satisfaction. We humans can rationally find motivation to make great technical achievements but when it comes to level of interpersonal relations and social stuff, most motivation is emotionally driven. We are practically animals who can build thermonuclear warheads. Somehow this isn't natural way of evolution, that's why I think somehow there was an external influence on development of human brain, an evil experiment.

The way we have organized ourselves. Very poorly. Billions of people labor and die wasting their potential because we have created structures, institutions, governments, belief systems, economic systems, social constructs, gender, race, linguistic barriers, technological barriers, intellectual barriers, artistic differences and on and on. Anyone starting over would never ever organize a society - ANY SOCIETY ON THE PLANET - the way we have in all of its madness.

Definitely agree with religion. its like an obsolete remnant of the past that refuses to go away. we did need it for a time before we had the scientific method but afterwards we should have pivoted away from it more.
