Why in your opinion the prostitution & robbery had doubled in NYC, only in these 2 months?

I was reading the world news today morning as usual and this story caught my eye...

Specificaly it's happening in Jackson Heights region in New York...

Sidewalks filled with h*es, prostitution happening in public, plus the robberies have been done easily during the day, so why did this region had transformed so fast from a clean safe area into a dangerous filthy area?

Hope that other places won't follow the same steps as this region...

I heard there were lots of Venezuelan migrants in New York, and there has been lots of criminal activity from some of them there. Also I wouldn't be surprised that's why the prostitution has doubled there to be honest. Lots of Venezuelan migrants are prostituting themselves in Colombia.

Not all Venezuelan immigrants are like that though, I met a Venezuelan lady at work last year. She's very nice.

Well, the guys rob and have a lot of money. The girls see that and get the guys to spend the money on them. Then the guys don’t have a lot of money and they rob. To quote the Lion Kang, “it’s the circle of life”.

They mentioned that cops aren't doing much anymore and they are letting them doing their stuff, there's an issue right here i guess 🤔

The jail the city uses is overfilled. They keep having to let people out to put others in. I guess they figure it's better to jail someone who just committed a murder and let the guy who was caught assaulting someone out a little early.

Then there's the homeless people. Which they literally can't do anything. I've seen them with knives over the legal length harassing people a mere block away and the cops will explain that the dude is gonna get released as soon as they make it to the station.

One time during the pandemic I saw a bloodied guy get chased INTO the subway. How much trouble do you have to be in to run into the subway?

And then when the cops do try, they get water thrown on them, shot at and then the mayor says they're doing too much, have to get vaxxed. I feel bad for them. Back in the day NY cops were all Irish and Italian drinkers who would bash your head in for being a wise guy. We need to find a happy medium.
