Why are people on Reddit so sexist and weird compared to GAG?

I see lot of age gap scenarios on reddit, whether they are real or fake I don't know but lot of people on there are sexist in how they treat the older person if they are a man or woman. If its a man he usually gets hate, if its a woman its defended to an extent.

I see gag being more open to this, the men specifically defend the older man here, while women judge.

The target demographic of that app and the type of people who hang around there and here is like night and day when compared to G@G. Most of the people who do use Reddit are shitposters and memers, people with weird takes on weird situations in life, and even weirder stories to tell on the subreddits they're on (even though I'm 99% sure almost all of their stories are fake and rage bait on purpose).

So yes, of course the people there will be sexist and weird.

Because these views were formed by society when men had total control of the power structure and women had not been empowered yet. In that context, it was a one sided situation and it's easier to manipulate someone much younger than yourself regardless of gender.
