This guy was always a little sus but he was the darling of the Democratic machine because he is an ex-cop, vegetarian, supporter of diversity, not from the outer boroughs, etc. In other words he ticked a lot of boxes that will get votes.

Flash forward to now, the ex-Cop part should have given away that he's corrupt. As far as I am concerned 99% of them are.
