Of course I support it for the same reason that the US Supreme Court supported it in 2015. I will let retired Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court Anthony Kennedy describe marriage in his Opinion of the Court for the case Obergefell v. Hodges, the case decided in June 2015 which allowed same-sex marriage throughout the US.

In short, no matter what I feel about gay marriage from an ethical viewpoint, I cannot deny that it should exist under the Equal Protection Clause and Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment. This is what the SCOTUS used in their opinion. This was intuitively obvious to anyone with knowledge in the law that banning same-sex marriage could not stand the legal challenges.

Same Sex Marriage is not something the majority of us buy into (since we are all straight)
Though with the legalization and lots of politicians trying to squash it / wipe it out of existence…. Now pretty much everyone has a side. Look, marriage is a beautiful connecting of lovers who are romantically involved and romance & love has no bounds to gender whether same or different. Let adults have the expression of love if the two adult individuals both consent to marriage because they allow to show their love to the world.

Animals have the equivalent of marriage too which is why zoologists and anthropologists use the term "pair bonding" in which two animals of the same species become monogamous with each other. We are no different. Our "pair bonding" predates our being human.

However, since ancient times, marriage has also been a political tool to unite families and make friends out of enemies regardless if the two people being married loved each other. This is why almost everyone of royalty who leads a country in Europe is related in some way.
