No - you aren't. Proportionately, while the Fed has the responsibility of protecting the country as a whole (one of the few things it is REQUIRED to do), I think that the Feds are giving the people in NC and east TN the shaft, as far as that goes.

The people themselves, volunteers, NPO charities such as Samaritan's Purse, pilots who have their own personal planes and helicopters, and driver/owners with their personal trucks, cars, 4-wheelers and boats are doing a lot more than FEMA is or will ever do to help. My grandson will be crocheting crosses for people in his town that donate at least $10-15.

Finally the Feds shook 1,000 Army personnel loose. (Haven't heard anything about the State Guards, the Seabees, of the National Guards on this one yet.) Years ago, when the creek near our town was flooding the back yards of those who bought homes at the creek edge, I was in the Civil Defense Emergency Services at the time- only time I had to drive a stick shift! Spent a day filling sandbags with scout troops. Feds weren't helping then, either.

I'd say more so Ukraine over Israel/Palestine, Israel will straight buy the weapons. Push comes to shove I'm willing to bet Ukraine would rack up debt to buy them as well, or other European countries would to buy from us for them. Palestine doesn't have the credit (nor is it a country), and we have embargoes on Iran.

We could pull ourselves out of a little bit of debt and the middle east out of a lot of war if we just sold Israel a handful of tanks and ballistic missiles. Offer the same to Ukraine, maybe exchange jet for tank on their end.

I think attending to both crises is important. If state Republicans hadn't voted against FEMA aid, if the state governments had enacted building codes / environmental deterents and if the MAGAs actually accepted that climate change is real this wouldn't be nearly as bad as it is.

I think we should be more concerned about the situation in the Middle East since it could lead to nuclear war. The situation in the South is unfortunate but like all natural disasters it will come to an end and people will be cared for.
