I get what you're saying, but when it comes to Trump, I don't think it's just about the way he speaks. Yeah, his speeches might be simple, but that's part of why he connects with so many people. He doesn't sugarcoat things or talk like a politician, and for a lot of Americans, that's refreshing. Plus, look at the results he brought in—he reformed taxes, helped push through a strong economy before COVID, made some bold moves in foreign policy like the Abraham Accords, and he was tough on trade with China.


I think people underestimate him because of the way he talks, but that doesn’t change the fact that he delivered on a lot of his promises. Whether you agree with his style or not, the guy shook up the system and got things done, which is something a lot of folks were looking for. People might try to make it seem like he's incoherent, but his record speaks for itself.

A due concern I and many others see, when a sufficient amount of people see refreshment when there is none at all to look at, as it is just the same stage with different characters. With Trump, the script of the play is national-populism, it is selling a lot right now, but we've seen this before as it dates back to ancient Greece and the likes.

We know how it works, an appeal to the primitive instincts of his audience, agitating the flag of better days like they used to be. When in fact the better days, if they existed, are gone, since Trump has very little power over the planet wide issues we're looking at. And it's even worse as he goes as far as denial, in front of the issues, in front of knowledge. Think climate for example. We also know how demonizing a scapegoat helps to control a flock, so the can be focused and obedient to the shepherd's command. These methods of flattering the uneducated, despising knowledge and these sort of tactics, they work, sadly they work. History books have seen this before, with several variants.

Crowd control is an open secret. For the educated it is. For others it may look invisible and that is a constant problem of education. Since 2000 years, or more.

The irony is that national-populism policies can't ensure economical growth, as the uneducated being flattered cannot produce high level resources on a long term. They will just gather in factories, producing the same wheel over and over. One way to use such a flock for growth is to lead them to war, to get more resources. I don't understand when he (Trump) speaks. He never answers a direct question and goes off in all tangents when addressing anything. He also gets all of his facts wrong--or just lies to the public.

That said, I am very curious and frankly worried abvituy several media outlets, such as some newspapers, some of who I had the ultimate respect for--and now are turning 180 degrees. They are criticizing Harris for different things, and not giving her credit for many of the good things she has done, the intelligent way she handled the debate, how well she is doing in the polls, as if they are trying to downplay her. I am talking about CNN, and even The NY Times. Why are they doing this? It's very odd. It's as if they have been kidnapped by some group supporting Trump and saying untrue things about her. I wish I could remember where I read it, or the article where I saw this. It really threw me off. Whatever they say, I am not paying attention to what they write; I know better.
