Should laws deter abortion when the brain starts functioning?

Your baby has a brain that is active by 14 weeks so can't kill him after that point. Not "just a clump of cells".

Laws should punish to deter killing it from 14 weeks or later but earlier should be allowed

Kill it even after its brain is functioning

Should be a crime even before 14 weeks

it depends... I worked in children's emergency shelters and orphanages... all those kids had parents... mothers gave birth and... that's it...

no feelings, no taking care, often abuse... those kids have bodies covered in scars from self-harm, because it's the most natural way or releasing emotional pain by physical one... they are released from the institution when they are 18, no occupation, severe depression and other disorders, often not diagnosed and not treated

they rarely live longer than until 30s... when they take their lives, or overdose drugs, or some not treated illness kills them

do you really call it a life? If someone doesn't want a kid, abortion is an act of mercy...

as long as government won't take responsibility for forcing mothers to give birth to unwanted children, the children will bear the whole responsibility...

The thing to fix is the abusers in the shelter! Not kill the victim of abuse!

if someone doesn't want children, forcing them to give birth is abuse. It's the first abuse. If someone didn't want this child and was forced to have it, to raise it, it's the second abuse. The consequence of those abuses is a lack of feelings for the child or even hatred towards the child. And it's not the parent's fault. They DIDN'T want this child, they were open about it. They were forced...

You know, I grew up behind the Iron Curtain. I know what it means to be forced to do things you don't want. It never works.

So, I would start with allowing people to choose if they want children or not. And if they want - support them, so if they lack anything, children won't suffer.

It's sad when someone can fuck but not take responsibility for it. They use abortion as their form of birth control. My advice is don't fuck if you can't take precautions except through murder.

Not a clump, now after birth because different organs, lungs kidneys etc. And yes at 14 weeks also more developed more complex than a clump of cells.

I think women are going to do this anyway. Like with making drugs or alcohol making it ilegal won't stop it. Really we as Christians can only leave in the consciences of those doctors and women who do it, continue to speak against it and pray.

How about laws who eat at McDonald's or smoke tobacco or drink alcohol? Don't brush their teeth twice a day? How about we jail people who committ suicide?
